January began in Catskill...

January 6th found us in Catskill, NY at Catskill Hoe Bowl. 60 bowlers turned out for the tournament.

Jr Gold qualifiers were Ron Giesin, Rebekah Diers, Sean Ogden, and Ross Whitehead.
Will Incremona won the Shoot-out.

This was one of our highest scoring tournaments this season. Ron Giesin was the over-all high qualifier with a very nice 1,402 six game series. His high game was 289. Rebekah Diers, Nick Torres, and Connor LeClair all had 1300 series. Bekah's high game was 280; Nick's was 278; and Connor's 229.

Home for the holidays from McKendree College, Ron Giesin NY (l) placed first in the Collegiate Boys Division. Bobby Micklick NY (c) placed second. Sean Ogden NY (r) finished in thrid place.

Rebekah Diers NY, who also bowls for McKendree College, dominated the Girls Division winning the step-ladder match fairly easily over Caitlin McCaw CT who had returned 3 weeks earlier from a 3 month semester abroad on Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, West Africa.
Rosanne Jansen NY "brought up the rear" of the division garnering the bronze medal.

Steve Rogers NY (l) won the gold medal in the Junior Boys Division. Joshua Regnier CT (c) received the silver medal. Rob Salomone NY (r) received the bronze.

Brianna Amidon MA (l) sustained her momentum during the Junior Girls Division step-ladder to grab the gold. Tori Jansen NY (c) placed second. Bethany Duchowny NY (r) placed third.

The Major Boys Division had a very interesting final match. Connor LeClair NY (l) and Nick Torres NY (c) are both "bowling up" a division for "better" competition. The final step-ladder match of this division ended in a tie-breaker. Connor defeated Nick for the gold. Jeff Werner NY (r) garnered the bronze medal.

Ross Whitehead (l) lead the qualifying for the Prep Division with a 6 game qualifying series of 1,255. He won the gold medal defeating Jesse Lent (c) in the step-ladder. Jesse placed second. Taylor Leclair (r) placed third. All three boys are from NY.
