NeJST at Townline Ten-Pin 1/21/07

Our 12th tournament was held January 21st at Townline Ten-Pin, Malden, MA. 63 entrants averaged 173.

High series, 1311, was rolled by Jim Bosse (CT).

A perfect 300 was thrown by Gian Papa (RI), pictured to the left.

Eleven entrants in the Collegiate Boys Division averaged 185. Tony Bennett (MA) defeated Jim Bosse (CT) in the final match for the gold medal.

The Girls Division had six entrants who averaged 180. Jenn Boisselle (MA) averaged 200 and defeated Alexandra Kiesman (MA) for the win.

In the Junior Boys Division 14 bowlers averaged 173. Jalen Scott-Jones (RI) defeated Cameron Lawson for the top spot.

Four bowlers in the Junior Girls Division averaged 167. Amanda Labossiere (MA) defeated Kamariah Jackman (CT) for the gold.

19 entrants in the Major Boys Division averaged 182. David Lewis (RI) averaged 203 for the day and defeated Steve Stahursky (CT) for first.

The Prep Division again had a great turnout with 9 bowlers who averaged 137. Jose Santana (RI) defeated Vernon Billington (CT) for the gold medal.

Amanda Labossiere and Steve Stahursky advanced to the USBC Junior Gold Championship next June in New York.

Hoe Bowl Mardi Bob 1/14/07

The NeJST had the 11th tournament of the season at Mardi Bob in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mardi Bob management was wonderful, giving our bowlers their most difficult lane pattern thus far - a 40 foot, gutter to gutter, flat shot. With 67 entries the field average was 156.

Six entrants in the Collegiate Boys Division averaged 181. Jim Bosse (CT) averaged 196. Dan Quesnell (NY) had the high qualifying series with 1190. Jim defeated Dan in step-ladder 173-164 to win the gold.

The Girls Division had 9 entrants averaging 164. Caitlin McCaw (CT) had the high qualifying game of 246 and high average in her division with 182. Caitlin defeated Leigh Pratt (NY) 164-161 for first place.

15 entrants in the Junior Boys Division averaged 154. Teddy Bickert (NY) was high qualifier in this division with a 184 average. He fell to Chris Pruner (NY) who climbed the ladder from 6th place to garner the gold.

The Junior Girls Division had 4 entrants averaging 132. Kamariah Jackman (CT), who leads the Division MVP rankings, had a 160 average for the day, but was defeated in the final match by Liz Pratt (NY).

The Major Boys as usual was the largest Division of the event with 25 entrants who averaged 163. Alex Weglarz (NY) defeated Ryan Evans (MA) in the final match to win the gold, with an average of 192 on the day.

Eight entrants in the Prep Division averaged 124. High qualifier Corrado Marone (NY) defeated Tommy Tkacz (CT) to win his first gold medal of the season.

Advancing to the USBC Jr Gold Championship in Buffalo next July were Stephanie Brockway (NY), Kyle Rasmussen (CT), Jeremy Lavoie (CT), and Charles Bonis (NY).
