BRATTLEBORO BOWL

September 23rd found us at Brattleboro Bowl, Brattleboro, VT for our 3rd tournament of the season. Our bowlers found themselves faced with the PBA Shark pattern again.


Prep Division (l-r): Josh McCart (NY), Jackie Evans (MA) placed 2nd, Anthony Swenson (MA) placed 1st, and Dakota Fleury (VT) placed 3rd. Jackie rolled the high numbers for this divsion with a 175 game and 823 series.




Collegiate boys (l-r): Jon Kalbfus (NY), Josh Grabiec (CT), Gold medalist Danny Khuu (MA), Silver Medalist Ali Dihmes (CT), Ryan Evans (MA), and Bronze medalist Michael Masse (MA). Jon rolled the 208 high game. Ali had high series with 1092.




Girls Division (l-r): Erica Masse (MA) bronze, Julianne Belsky (MA), Liz Pratt (NY) silver, and Leigh Pratt (NY) gold. High qualifying game and series (208 and 1077) were thrown by Leigh.






Junior Boys Division (l-r): Steve Pyrcz (CT) finished 2nd, Cameron Lawson (VT) 1st, and Josh Regnier (CT) 3rd. Cameron rolled the high game (209) and series (967) for the division.






Junior Girls Division (l-r): Bethany Duchowny (NY), Rebecca Pratt (NY) gold, Ashley Reid (CT) bronze, and Brianna Amidon (MA) silver. Brianna rolled the highs for this division of 236 and 1076.



Major Boys (l-r): silver medalist David Rice (VT), gold medalist Kyle Rasmussen (CT), bronze medalist Marcus Erickson (MA) , Nick Jensen (CT), Matt Peter (MA), Ryan Erickson (MA), David Thomas (MA), Nate DeGray (CT), and Cameron Carrier (VT). David rolled the high game (221) and series (1154) in qualifying.

Hoe Bowl Mardi Bob

The second NeJST tournament of the season was held 9/16/07 at Hoe Bowl Mardi Bob, Poughkeepsie, NY on a difficult 40 foot gutter to gutter lane condition. 37 bowlers competed with a field average of 152.57

Six Collegiate Boys (aged 18-21) averaged 164.7 with a high game of 213 by Dan Quesnell, Kingston, NY, and high series of 1034 by Josh Grabiec, Fairfield, CT. Medalists were Josh Grabiec (gold), Bobby Micklick, Highland, NY (silver), and Jonathan Kalbfus, Wappingers Falls, NY (bronze).

Four Girls (aged 15 -21) averaged 143.8 with a high game of 204 by Liz Pratt, Troy, NY, and high series of 1006 by Leigh Pratt, Troy, NY. Medalists were Leigh Pratt (gold), Liz Pratt (silver), and Rosanne Jansen, Kingston, NY (bronze).

Five Junior Boys (aged 12-14) averaged 150.7 with a high game of 208 by Anthony Santostefano, Wappingers Falls, NY, and high series of 1009 by Josh Regnier, Enfield, CT. Medalists were Anthony Santostefano (gold), Josh Regnier (silver), and Christopher Dziengiel, Pine Bush, NY (bronze).

Five Junior Girls averaged 137.4 with a high game of 201 by Brianna Amidon, Pittsfield, MA, and high series of 928 by Tory Jansen, Kingston, NY. Medalists were Tory Jansen (gold), Bethany Duchowny, Charlton, NY (silver), and Brianna Amidon (bronze).

14 Major Boys (aged 15-17) averaged 162.2 with a high game of 245 by T. J. Bailey, Hopewell Junction, NY, and high series of 1170 by Alex Weglarz, Schaghticoke, NY. Medalists were David Rice, Shaftsbury, VT (gold), Alex Weglarz (silver), and T. J Bailey (bronze).

Three Prep Boys/Girls (aged 11 and under) averaged 116.2 with a high game of 160 and high series of 870 by Ross Whitehead, Walden, NY. Medalists were Ross Whitehead (gold), Maeson Cooper, Troy, NY (silver), and Joshua McCart, Hoosick Falls, NY (bronze).

Josh Regnier won the Mystery Score Jackpot ($32 scholarship). The jackpot will begin accruing again next tournament. The Shoot-Out was won by Shaun Mitchell, Port Ewen, NY, who receives a $45 scholarship.

Shaun Mitchell and Tory Jansen were the advancers of the Junior Gold qualifiers.
