The November 2nd tournament was re-scheduled at nearly the last minute to North Bowl. The new owners are doing a lot of work on the center. They were very accomodating. I look forward to more events being held there.
On a modified sport condition, Tom Hedding (MA) rolled the 268 high game. Two bowlers averaged 200+: Ryan Evans (MA) 1239 and Matt Peter (MA) 1214. Matt Peter won the Shoot-Out. Ryan Evans was the Jr. Gold National qualifier.

Brattleboro Bowl, Brattleboro, VT - 10/19/08
Our first Vermont event this season drew 23 bowlers to Brattleboro Bowl on October 19th.
On a challenging sport condition Ryan Graywacz (Enfield, CT) was the only bowler to average over 200 during the six games of qualifying with a 1265 series. However, he was defeated in the Major Boys' (ages 15-17) final match by Chris Colella (Templeton, MA). Josh Regnier (Enfield, CT) was third.
Noah Frankforter (Cheshire, CT) had a great day. He won the Shoot-Out, hit the Mystery Score for one half the jackpot, and won the Prep Division (11 and under) defeating Josh McCart (Hoosick Falls, NY) in the final match. Dakota Fleury (Plainfield, VT) was the third place finisher.
Joey Wolfrum (Hoosick Falls, NY) was the Junior Boys Division (12-14).
Jill Goldsworthy (Barre, VT) nearly ran the step-ladder in the Girls Division (12-21) only to fall to the current points leader Alexandra Kiesman (N Attleboro, MA) in the final match. Brianna Amidon (Pittsfield, MA) finished third.
In the Collegiate Boys Division (18-21) Ryan Evans (Acton, MA) won gold. Russell Hagan (Kingston, NH) received the silver medal.
We will be returning to Brattleboro on April 12th at which time the bowlers will be challenged with three differing PBA sport oil patterns - Cheetah (35'), Viper (37'), and Shark (44'). Each bowler will play 2 games on each condition.
