NeJST’s Second Season
275 junior bowlers participated in our 22 regular season tournaments.
223 boys and 52 girls.
Of 41 Collegiate Boys Rai Doblmeier, Warwick, RI, had the high average on sport conditions of 197 and the high blended average of 197. Ben Rund, Medway, MA, had the high average of 208 on house conditions. Rai had the division’s high game, 300, and series, 1359. Overall the division’s sport average was 182 for 734 games, house average was 192 for 424 games, with a blended average of 186.
26 bowled in the Girl’s Division during the season. Alexandra Kiesman, Attleboro, MA, had a 197 high sport condition average and the high blended average of 198. Leigh Pratt, Troy, NY, had a 200 for high house condition average. Alley & Caitlin McCaw, W. Hartford, CT, share high game, 269. Jenn Boisselle, Winchester, MA, had the high series of 1310. Overall the division’s sport average was 173 for 597 games, house average was 183 for 454 games, with a blended average of 177.
55 Junior Boys participated. Justin Avylla, New Bedford, MA, had high average on sport conditions of 183 and the high blended average of 186. Chris Colella, Templeton, MA, had high house shot average of 198. Chris had the division’s high game of 288. The 1275 high series was rolled by Darrin Borges, New Bedford, MA. Overall the division’s sport average was 161 for 698 games, house average was 181 for 560 games, with a blended average of 171.
Of the 14 Junior Girls, Amanda Labossiere, Buzzards Bay, MA, had high sport (179), high house (193), and high blended (185) averages, high game (257), and high series (1245). Overall the division’s sport average was 146 for 378 games, house average was 156 for 304 games, with a blended average of 151.
The Major Boys Division had 102 bowlers. Alex Weglarz, Schaghtico, NY, had high sport shot average with 194, high house average with 207, and high blended average of 198. 300 games were rolled by Jason Burger, Delmar, NY, and Gian Papa, RI. Greg Andrews, Taunton, MA, also had an honor score with a 290 game. Overall the division’s sport average was 168 for 1,512 games, house average was 188 for 1,147 games, with a blended average of 177.
Jadee Scott-Jones, Riverside, RI had a high average of 167 on sport conditions and 165 for the high blended average of the 37 Prep bowlers. Ross Whitehead, Walden, NY, had the highest house average of 166. Tori Whetstone, Providence, RI, had the division’s high game and series, 218 and 1091, respectively. Overall the division’s sport average was 133 for 494 games, house average was 143 for 408 games, with a blended average of 137.
52 qualified for the Junior Gold National Championship in Buffalo, NY, in July. Five have already qualified for the 2008 Junior Gold National Championship in the Detroit, MI, area next year.
19 bowlers also earned full or partial entries into the BEST Tournament that will be held June 16-17 in Maple Shade, NJ.
66 bowlers attended at least seven of the 22 regular season events to qualify for our second Championship Tournament.
